Understanding Our Booking Terms

At Kerama Silent Lodge, we believe in transparency and clarity when it comes to your stay. Our booking terms and conditions are designed to ensure a seamless experience, providing you with all the necessary information to make informed decisions. Familiarizing yourself with these terms will help you enjoy a worry-free visit, knowing exactly what to expect and how to prepare for your stay with us.
Our commitment to your satisfaction begins with clear communication. We encourage all guests to review our terms and conditions thoroughly, as they outline essential details regarding reservations, cancellations, and guest responsibilities. This understanding is crucial for a smooth and enjoyable experience at Kerama Silent Lodge.

General Terms and Conditions:

  • The rates provided are based on a bed and breakfast plan, encompassing all applicable taxes and levies.
  • Extra beds are available upon request for a fee of 30 US dollars per night for each extra bed.

Reservation Confirmation:

  • All reservations are subject to availability and must be confirmed by Kerama Silent Lodge.

  • A deposit of 50% of the total booking amount is required to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is payable upon arrival.

Reservation and Cancellation policies:

We gladly accept confirmed and guaranteed reservations from any reputable source.

Please note that confirmation is contingent upon payment, meaning all reservations must be fully paid prior to arrival unless otherwise specified.

Cancellations are accepted up to 30 days before your arrival date, and they take effect on the date we receive your request.

Upon cancellation, you will receive a confirmation from us, and please refer to the cancellation charges listed below.

  • Cancellation Charges:

    • 50% of the total amount will be charged for cancellations or changes made 29 to 7 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.

    • 75% of the total amount will be charged for cancellations or changes made 7 to 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date.

    • 100% of the total amount will be charged for cancellations or changes made less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date.

    • No-show will be charged at the full total amount.

  • Credit Card Payment:

    • Payments made by credit card will incur a 4% bank surcharge due to banking fees in Tanzania.

Child Policy:

  1. Children aged 0–6 years sharing with 1 or 2 adults: No charge.

  2. Children aged 7–12 years sharing with 1 or 2 adults: 50% of the adult rate.

  3. Children aged 7–11 years in their own room: 75% of the adult rate.

  4. Children aged 12 years and above: Full adult rate.

Meal(s) charges:

  • Dinner Inclusive: We charge $35 per person per night, in addition to the quoted rates.

  • Lunch and Dinner Inclusive: We charge $30 per person per night, in addition to the quoted rates.

 

Checkin And Checkout Guidelines:

Check-in time: 2:00 PM | Check-out time: 10:00 AM

  • Guaranteed early check-in can be arranged at the time of booking for 100% of the room rate.

  • Late checkout is available at 50% of the room rate from the check-out time until 6:00 PM.

  • Luggage can be temporarily stored in our storeroom.

Payment Options:

  • Payments can be made via bank transfer, pesapal, credit card, or cash at the lodge.

  • Full payment is required for reservations made less than 7 days before arrival.

Guest Responsibilities:

  • Guests must present valid identification upon check-in.

  • Any damage to lodge property caused by guests may result in additional charges.

Smoking and Pet Policies:

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in lodge rooms and common areas.

  • Pets are not allowed in Kerama Silent Lodge.

Special Requests:

  • Guests can make special requests (e.g., dietary requirements, room preferences) at the time of booking, subject to availability.

Force Majeure:

  • Kerama Silent Lodge shall not be held liable for cancellations or disruptions caused by unforeseen events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, wars or government restrictions.

Feedback and Complaints:

  • All complaints should be directed to the reception, where a special form is available for filling out.

  • Kerama Silent Lodge management welcomes any feedback to continually enhance our services. All feedback should be directed to the reception
